Behavior Problems?  Find Out What to Do to Get Help!

This letter was written in response to a reader who asked the simple question "Do you really think the NZymes are helping Cis?"

1/8/01

Darin,

In going back through my mail this morning (nothing better to do {grin}), I realized that I hadn't answered your question regarding whether I thought that the NZymes were really helping Cis.  I know that I haven't included this information in Cis' Journal, yet... but YES, I've seen some pretty dramatic improvements in her, overall.  While I can't attribute any particular change to any particular portion of the regimen, the research I've done tells me that the NZymes are playing a key role in her recovery.

I'm trying to be patient, because of course Cis was in pretty bad shape when we started the regimen... but I'm also trying to bear in mind that we've only been doing this for about 5 WEEKS.  Again, I don't think that the changes have been achieved more by any one component than another... I think that each of these areas has allowed changes in the others. Also, the outward changes take longer to appear, simply because the body utilizes nutrients on a "priority level".... organs, bone structure, musculature, then coat. To recap what I've done:

1) The cider vinegar & OxyDrops -- this is what is changing the pH in her digestive tract, to kill the yeast.  The articles I've read say that this is going to be an ongoing, life-long problem with some dogs -- some dogs (and people) just make "better hosts" for fungal infections than others.  Cis appears to be one of these dogs.

2) The NZymes -- this is what is allowing her body to utilize the higher grade of nourishment that I'm making available, in the Flint River Ranch dog food.  Enzymes are produced by the body, but some bodies just need more help -- bodies under stress need even more.  Cis' body has been under a great deal of stress for a very long time, and her genetics just aren't good... everything's working against her.  The NZymes are helping to level the playing field.

3) The dog food -- in all honesty, this is the FIRST of the super-premium foods that I've tried that my dogs will eat BY ITSELF.  I've never *minded* giving them all the little extras (cottage cheese, peanut butter, cooked diced chicken, venison, etc.) mixed into their kibble, but I feel alot better knowing that they'll eat this kibble even if I'm OUT of cottage cheese, or don't have TIME to cook something to mix with their kibble.  That was always a big problem, before!

Note: my Mom was diagnosed with cancer right after I started Cis on this regimen... so, of course, I've also got Mom on the NZymes and OxyDrops. lol  I've got her on quadruple dosages of each, as she's undergoing radiation therapy.  She's doing MUCH better than expected... and of course, the doctors won't give any opinion as to why she's still able to eat (the radiation is focused on her throat).  All they'll say is "it can't HURT."  She's 4 weeks into the treatment, with 2 weeks left.  The doctors had told her that she'd most likely require a feeding tube and tracheotomy by the second week.  She's still eating on her own, and they no longer think she'll require the tracheotomy.

I need to get a photo of my 2 girls together, to really bring home the size/weight differences... Cis is an inch taller than Zoe, but weighs 35 pounds less (she's put on 9 pounds since 11/21!!)  By contrast, Zoe is eating the maintenance portion of Flint River Ranch -- 5 cups per day.  Cis is eating **8** cups per day!!  If someone would have told me a couple of months ago that this was possible, I would likely have gotten PO'd... because I honestly felt that I'd tried everything, and was only waiting for the sign from her that it was time to let her go.

I very nearly didn't make that phone call to Linda Arndt, in November... I figured that Mike Stansbury was just another crackpot, looking to make a sale through my website (I have people contacting me almost on a daily basis, to sell their products through my website... I've got "freebies" sitting all over the place, because my policy is that I won't promote something that doesn't work).  Mike Stansbury and his uncle are the people who own the NZymes company, out of California.  He'd read about Cis on the website, and wanted me to contact Linda to have a nutritional workup done.  I am VERY thankful to him -- he had to call me twice, before I finally did it. {grin}  I finally called her to more or less make him leave me alone.  What a great person he is!! lol  He and his uncle Stan take turns calling or emailing me for weekly updates... they offer encouragement, advice, and just let me know that they care about what's happening with my family.

So, maybe I should copy this email onto my website, huh?  lol
