Behavior Problems?  Find Out What to Do to Get Help!

I've done lots of long-distance consults (more than 2 hours away from me), and have set up the following rule-of-thumb fees schedule for these.  If you're interested in my help, contact me, and we'll discuss whether or not it's feasible for me to make the trip, based on several criteria.

If you are 2-4 hours away from me, I require traveling charges in the amount of $50, and a minimum of 3 hours consulting at the rates shown in the table.  I will allow the spay/neuter discount, if it applies, as well as the "time block" discount, if it applies.  See the table for more information on this.

If you are more than 4 hours away from me, I require traveling charges in the amount of $75 (see note, below), plus $15 per each hour of additional driving time (I calculate this at 65 miles per hour, and it's a "guess-timate").  I will charge for a minimum of 4 hours consulting, at the rates shown in the discount table.

Note:  If the distance is so great that airfare or hotel charges are incurred, the client would also be responsible for these.  NOTE: I prefer to travel by train, rather than by air (this is also preferable to my driving great distances).  Yes, I'm a chicken. {grin}  See www.AmTrak.com for service in your area, and I will also consider other traveling options, at your expense.  You are also more than welcome to bring your dog to me.  Contact me for a list of pet-friendly motels in my area.

Note: Several of my clients have lessened the burden of the traveling charges for themselves by referring clients to me, from their respective areas.  You can "share" the traveling charges by referring another dog-owner who wishes to set up sessions on the same day as your session.
